Meet the artist

Mary-Ryan (or “Ryan”) is the original frivolous miss and multi-passionate artist behind the art and design studio born of rebellion. With a long list of trivial interests and a bit of a mouth, she adopted the alter ego to help lean into certain “soft and useless” aspects of life.

Her work features themes from nature, a lifelong study of color theory & symbolism, and travel. Originally from Georgia, the places she’s lived which continue to inspire her work the most are Vermont, Florida, Colorado, and Spain. She has over 15 years working as a digital and brand marketer, helping small and medium-sized businesses grow. This experience guided the launch of her own art studio, and she continues to partner on select freelance marketing projects today.
